In this hands-on, beginner-friendly course, you'll learn how to transform your favorite seasonal snapshots into beautiful, frame-worthy artworks. Bring your own springtime photos—whether they’re blooming flowers, scenic landscapes, or candid outdoor moments—and I’ll guide you step-by-step through the process of translating them into expressive compositions. I will guide you on how to select photos, how to alter your photo for a better painting composition, how to design your painting, and much more! No previous painting experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!
Â
Please bring 5 to 10 photos you’ve taken, either printed or stored on a digital device. If you choose to use your phone, make sure you're comfortable viewing and working from a small screen for an extended period.
Who is this workshop for?Â

We will demonstrate a step, then you will do it, ensuring that you know exactly what to do. We will also guide you on how to sketch, which exact colors to mix, and where to apply them on your painting.

For intermediate artists who know how to paint but feel like something is missing in their work – bring your photos and your questions, and I’ll help you along the way.
-
For those who want to walk away with a finished painting they are proud of.

What You Will Learn:
- Learn how to select the right photos and how to alter a not-so-great photo into a painting masterpiece: Composition is the most powerful—and often overlooked—element in landscape painting. I’ll show you how to create more engaging artwork by carefully planning your composition.
-
Textured Painting Techniques: Discover unconventional methods for painting with acrylics. Get familiar with textured paste and explore how its consistency influences painting styles.
-
How to mix the colours that you are looking for:Â we give step by step instructions on which colours to mix together.
- Observational Painting Skills: Learn how to closely observe and capture the shape, color, light, and shadow of your subject to bring your artwork vividly to life.
-
Acrylic painting techniques:Â introduce various brushstrokes and how to apply them, how to use palette knife, how to blend colours effortlessly, soft blending vs hard edges, bright colours vs muted colours
-
We don't just teach rules–we nurture your creativity: Our individual approach will meet where you are at and develop your skills from there.
- We don't stop there: After the workshop, if you have any questions about your artistic development, you can post them in our free online community and I will answer them within 48 hours.
My Teaching Style:
-
Supportive, encouraging, and friendly:Â I will hold your heart gently and provide kind, specific, and actionable guidance. Our group of students is also very encouraging. They have always loved the atmosphere of the class and genuinely support one another.
Tailored instruction to your unique needs: Having studied with many renowned artists and taught numerous students, I deeply understand that each individual is unique in their art practice—whether in the styles they’re naturally drawn to or the types of learning and teaching methods that resonate with them. I never force my students to learn in a way that doesn't suit them. Instead, I guide them toward learning what truly makes sense for them.
Developing your personal style: Different students are naturally drawn to different styles. For example, some love vivid, vibrant colors, while others prefer soft, pastel tones. Some enjoy smooth blending, while others favor bold, expressive brushstrokes. Some like painting realistic subjects, while others enjoy a loose, abstract approach. I carefully observe what you’re naturally inclined toward and help you develop your skills in alignment with your personal style.
More importantly, have fun!

If after the session you feel it’s not for you, we’ll happily refund you for half of the price.Â
